GLACIAL GEOMORPHOLOGY, PERIGLACIAL GEOMORPHOLOGY, MOUNTAIN GEOMORPHOLOGY

  • Research on Quaternary glacial lanforms and glaciers reconstruction;
  • Research on periglacial forms and processes, their dynamics and their paloeclimatic significance;
  • Identify areas with permafrost and permafrost conditions occur.

METHODS AND TECHNICS IN GEOMORPHOLOGY

  • Geophysical methods: Direct Current Resisitivity (DCR), Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), Self Potential (SP), magnetic susceptibility, thermal conductivity and difusivity, Bottom Temperature of Snow (BTS), thermal images (infrared images).
  • Dendrogeomorphology & dendrochronology;
  • Quantitative analysis in geography (geomorphological variables measuring methods, processing the database);
  • The use of absolute dating in reconstructing geomorphological process.
  • Geomorphological mapping;
